Residential HVAC Installer Level 3

The Residential HVAC Installer Level 3 will be responsible for installing residential and light commercial HVAC and hearth systems, ensuring that each installation meets our impeccable standards and provides customers with a top-quality experience. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist in training Installer Entry-Level 2 technicians, helping to develop the skills and expertise of our team.

Work Hours: 7:30 am to 4 pm with a half-hour lunch break
Required Qualifications
- Hold a valid driver’s license and have an insurable driving record
- Hold EPA 608 Universal Certification
- Hold NATE Core or NFI Certification
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrate a willingness to invest in tools used in the service of HVAC equipment
- Be able to work from a 28’ extension ladder and a 12’ step ladder
- Be able to operate power and hand tools safely
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 lbs
- Ability to follow both written and verbal directions as given
- Demonstrate ability to install residential HVAC & hearth systems without assistance
- Demonstrate ability to communicate ideas and explanations clearly to residential and commercial customers and coworkers
- Possess advanced customer service skills
- Demonstrate a willingness to invest time in training seminars and classes
- Meet all qualifications and have all tools required for Service Technician Level 2
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid unrestricted Minnesota driver’s license
- NATE Core + 1 Specialty or NFI Certification
- HVAC tech school certificate and/or equivalent experience
- EPA 608 Universal Certification

- Possess Installer Level 3 toolbox as required by the employer
- Successfully demonstrated the responsibilities and functions of an Installer Level 3, as outlined in the job description and documented by your Field Training Supervisor (FTS)
- Understand and follow the company policy and procedures
- Hold NATE Core + 1 Specialty or NFI Certification
- Consistently exceed or meet all the Success Factors or Job Competencies of an Installer Entry Level 3, as stated in the job description
- Obtain a recommendation from the Field Training Supervisor (FTS) for advancement
- Have a minimum of 25 Rate Our Business reviews

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrive promptly and relocate from one job site to another as dispatched throughout the day
- Operate the company vehicle as required
- Follow the supervisor’s instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Promptly report any issues with tools or the company vehicle
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance consistently
- Show proficiency in all installation-related forms and processes
- Possess knowledge of designing and laying out residential duct systems
- Properly complete all installation-related forms
- Show an advanced understanding of electrical refrigeration principles, duct design and airflow, service tools, testing devices, and brazing skills
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills
- Independently install residential HVAC and hearth systems
- Develop knowledge of hydronic system designs and equipment performance checks/start-ups
- Assist in training Installer Entry Level 2
- Complete any other duties assigned
