In this role, you will work alongside our highly skilled professionals to assist in installing and repairing plumbing fixtures, appliances, and piping. You will play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive top-quality solutions and a high-quality experience.

Work Hours: 7:30 am to 4 pm with a half-hour lunch break

Required Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record
  • Demonstrated willingness to invest in tools used in the service of plumbing equipment
  • Willingness to invest time in training seminars and classes
  • Ability to operate both power and hand tools safely
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely as given
  • Demonstrated commitment to developing customer service skills
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work from a 28’ extension ladder and a 12’ step ladder
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100lbs on occasion

 

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • Valid, unrestricted Minnesota driver’s license
  • Current MN Apprenticeship card with required apprenticeship hours

 

Required Achievements

  • Possess an installation tool set as required by the employer
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the Residential Apprentice Plumber job functions and responsibilities outlined in the Job Description. This must be documented by your Field Training Supervisor (FTS)
  • Understand and adhere to the company policy and procedures
  • Consistently meet or exceed all Success Factors/ Job Competencies of the Installer Entry Level as outlined in the Job Description
  • Receive a recommendation for advancement from your Field Training Supervisor (FTS)
  • Complete all required apprenticeship hours
  • Complete all required continuing education (CEU) hours

As an employee in this position, you will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions and occasionally be required to be in confined spaces for short periods. We provide all necessary safety equipment and ensure our employees receive adequate training to carry out their duties safely and effectively.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Arrive at the job site at the scheduled time and/or locations as dispatched
  • Relocate from one job site to another as dispatched during the workday
  • Operate the company vehicle as needed
  • Follow instructions from the supervisor and carry them out in a timely manner.
  • Promptly report any problems with company tools or vehicle
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Develop familiarity with all installation-related forms
  • Properly complete all install-related forms
  • Develop a basic knowledge of piping design and flow
  • Develop a basic knowledge of fixture installation
  • Develop a basic knowledge of service tools and testing devices
  • Develop brazing skills
  • Develop customer service skills
  • Develop skills to assist with the installation of residential HVAC & hearth systems with the assistance of an Installer Level 3 or higher
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
